If you are looking for a water experience in Las Vegas, Mandalay Bay is your destination.
Here, the largest saltwater aquarium between Monterey and Chicago awaits you, along with wave pools, gaming rooms, sports events, and great dining.
Aquarium
The Shark Reef Aquarium is the signature feature of this 3300 room resort located near the south end of the Vegas Boulevard. The aquarium holds 1.3 million gallons of water, making it one of the largest enclosed saltwater aquariums in the country. The tank is large and the exhibits are great. One of the rare sights that you will see is green sawfish. This a type of ray with a saw-like appendage extending towards the front. The sawfish is a highly endangered species that has been sought for generations for its fins and its saws. The Jungle, which is a part of the aquarium exhibit, includes a Komodo dragon as its signature exhibit. Within the aquarium area, there is also a touch pool for an interactive sea experience.
Pools
The Mandalay Beach area is eleven acres of pools and associated fun-in-the-sun activity space. Three heated pools, a wave tank with two to four-foot waves with an accompanying pool designed for children, make this a fun-filled beach adventure for the family. In addition, for the more sophisticated European style pool, Mandalay Beach offers The Moorea. This is a pool complex for those who are 21 years of age and older (Proof of age required), who are looking for a luxurious pool experience.
Gaming Rooms
One hundred and thirty-five thousand square feet of gaming experiences await the Mandalay Bay visitor. All of the traditional Las Vegas games are here, including poker, slot machines, and sports betting.
