It might surprise you to find that Maine has 5,500 miles of coastline and around 60 lighthouses including Quoddy Lighthouse, the lighthouse furthest east, and the first sign of daylight in the continental United States.
It might also surprise you to know you can vacation on your own island – right off the coast of Maine.

The cottage accommodates up to 8 guests.

The island is self-catering and rates include a boat captain, caretaker, and midweek linen change and cleaning. All-inclusive rates for chef service or specific catering are available upon request. Organic meats, produce, and seafood are available daily, all locally sourced and sustainable. Don’t forget to pick up a lobster or ten at the dock restaurant in Castine!
