Free Thing to Do While Waiting for Santa: Watch the Reindeer Cam!

Here’s a fun free thing for the kids to do while waiting for Santa Claus to arrive — watch the Reindeer Cam!

Dubbed Santa’s Official Reindeer Live Feed, you can watch real reindeer prance and hang out at the North Pole while they get ready for their big night out pulling Santa’s sleigh. See Santa feed the reindeer at 11 a.m., 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. As we write this, we’re watching the reindeer snooze at about 4 a.m. EST. Yep, you can even watch the reindeer at night if they’re in camera range.

There’s also a Reindeercam app for the iPhone and iPad for the frugal price of $1.99 so you can watch the reindeer on the go.

Kids who have been nice this year might see their names projected on the reindeer barn wall. How do you get on the nice list? Send a letter to Santa (mailing address provided on the site), write a review of the the Reindeercam app or donate $1 or more to the reindeer fund.

The site also has a micro store with a couple of cute reindeer items at frugal prices. Worth taking a look at.
