Jacksonville’s Dog Wood Park features lots of room for dogs to run around and a forested area with walking trails so you can work out with your dog. They do demand that you pay a monthly or yearly membership fee and provide confirmation of your immunizations. But having all of this in one place and receiving regular upkeep from a membership dog park makes the membership fee well worthwhile.
Atlantic Beach

Dogs are welcome at Atlantic Beach. You’re more than welcome to bring your dog along as long as they stay leashed. However, there is an exception made for swim time at this beach. If you take your dog into the water with you, they are free to swim around without a leash. Just remember to reattach your dog’s leash after they exit the water.
John Gorrie Dog Park of Riverside Park

Within a bigger park is the completely fenced-in dog park known as John Gorrie Dog Park of Riverside Park. Along with water stations and trash facilities, there are separate areas for little and large dogs. You can either keep your dog on a leash throughout the remainder of the park or let them run free inside the dog park boundary. In addition, Riverside Park contains a playground, picnic areas, seats, basketball courts, and even a duck pond. A fantastic location for the whole family.

With a variety of places designated for small and large breeds, benches, and shady locations for dog owners to rest, drink stations, and waste disposal sites, your dog won’t know what to do with himself. This is the spot if you’re searching for a location to just let them run about or are meeting someone for a dog play date.

This 14-acre green space is next to Riverside Arts Market and features a playground, duck pond, and other festivals throughout the year. The park-within-a-park, John Gorrie Dog Park, is the best for your pet. There are separate zones for small and large dogs in the off-leash dog park.

This 6-acre green park honoring Florida’s World War I veterans is also close by. You can take a self-guided walking tour of the park’s monuments with your leashed pet.
