If you don’t enjoy camping, then you may never take the time to visit Walt Disney World’s Fort Wilderness Campgrounds. In true Disney fashion, there is a lot more to do at Fort Wilderness than sleeping under the stars. In fact, one of the best Disney shows, the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is held at Pioneer Hall in Fort Wilderness. This show has been entertaining audiences for over 30 years. I remember seeing it as a small child in the mid-1970s. I loved the show then, and I still love it today. It’s fun for the entire family and just a short Disney bus ride from any Walt Disney World resort.
The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is a vaudeville show with music and theatrical comedy. The audience is involved in every aspect of the frontier-themed dinner show. The actors mingle in the audience and invite adults and children to dance and play washboards, jugs, and other instruments. Several audience members are even selected to join the actors on stage, don costumes and act in a skit. There is a real family, a hoe-down atmosphere, and everyone is expected to have a lot of fun.
During the show, guests enjoy a delicious all-you-can-eat, down-home meal of corn on the cob, beans, fried chicken, barbequed pork ribs, salad, bread, and strawberry shortcake. Unlimited drinks (draft beer, wine, sangria, and soft drinks) are also included. Tickets range in price from $30-$50 per guest. The Hoop-Dee-Doo-Revue is one of the most popular shows in Walt Disney World, so be sure to make your reservations early. You won’t want to miss the fun!
