Thinking about a voyage to the water parks of the Wisconsin Dells this summer? There are a number of spots where you and your kids enjoy one of America’s best summer holiday epicenters, so we’ve put together a synopsis of what you can expect at each place … enjoy!
Chula Vista Resort Waterpark
With over 26 water slides that stretch over a mile and a half in total, Chula Vista Resort Waterpark has plenty of excitement for the whole family, no matter the time of year.
With tickets to the park included in your hotel admission, this all-encompassing family resort makes most facets of your trip uncomplicated, as your lodging, dining and fun needs are all in one place.
Highlights include Fly’n Mayan, which is the biggest indoor water coaster in the United States, and the outdoor slides in summer, which feature thirty-foot drops on some rides.
Kalahari Resort Waterpark
While this park certainly has plenty of attractions for children and their parents (not the least of which is the Victoria Falls family raft ride), those seeking some adult time will find plenty to love about the Kalahari Resort Waterpark as well.
Fine dining and the Wisconsin Brewpub top this list, as does the Mud Hut, which is a swim-up bar where those of age can enjoy the aquatic ambiance of this resort with a refreshing alcoholic beverage. Teens in your clan will love the recently installed Flowrider, which allows participants to hang ten on a surfboard despite being thousands of miles from the nearest natural surf break.
It had been years since I had first visited the resort (nearly 9 years prior). I was blown away by how much had changed and been added to the property. What had been a great water park in its early years, has transformed into an all in one – never need to leave the property mega-water-resort. Both indoor and outdoors you will find massive water parks and activities to enjoy. Outside of the water parks, the resort also boasts a massive indoor amusement park, complete with huge ferris wheel, bowling alley, go-cart track and much, much more. The Kalahari also hosts multiple restaurants on site with everything from great steaks to chicken fingers to healthy eats.
Mt. Olympus Theme Park & Water Park
More than just a water park, Mt. Olympus offers plenty of attractions both land and water-based for your family’s entertainment needs. The theme park’s biggest star is Hades 360, which is the first roller coaster in the world to feature a 360-degree loop and a steep 110-degree turn. When the heat of a Wisconsin summer leads to take to the refreshing H2O of its water park though, the excitement won’t stop there. 44 indoor and outdoor slides, two giant wave pools, a lazy river, and an epic children’s play area known as the Lost City of Atlantis will see to that…!
Noah’s Ark Waterpark
A visit to the Wisconsin Dells won’t be complete without a journey to Noah’s Ark Waterpark, as it is America’s largest facility dedicated to aquatic fun. Though it is only operational during the summer, the lack of an indoor adjunct only lends to the sense of urgency to discover this place on vacation. Your expectations won’t be met with disappointment, as its eighty attractions spanning from mat slides to wild tubing rides will be up to the challenge.
