Rancho San Rafael Regional Park

Washoe Lake State Park
Located between Reno and Carson City, Washoe Lake and Little Washoe Lakes greet visitors with majestic views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Carson Range. The park is the site of many outdoor activities such as bird watching, horseback riding, hiking, windsurfing, catamaran sailing, water skiing, jet skiing, and fishing. Mt. Rose
Situated at Tahoe’s highest base elevation of 8,260, Mt. Rose is a favorite of skiers. Offering spectacular views of Nevada and Lake Tahoe, the mountain is a snow lover’s paradise offering slopes from beginner’s green to double black diamond. The mountain is easy to access and only 25 minutes from Reno.
Cascade Falls Hiking Trail – Lake Tahoe
There are numerous hiking trails in and around the Lake Tahoe beaches and parks for every level of experience from novice to hard-core experts. Hikes can be planned with scenery, elevation, difficulty, and/or distance in mind. There are even hikes designed around finding wildflowers in bloom – a truly lovely sight.
