Are Dogs Allowed on South Beach?
Although dogs are not allowed on South Beach, you can take your dog for a leash walk along the paved Beach Walk that runs parallel to the water. Starting at 23rd Street, move southward toward Lummus Park and Ocean Drive while admiring the classic Art Deco buildings. It’s a wonderful opportunity to explore the area, take in the sea air, and bond with your dog while visiting Miami.
Lummus Park
1130 Ocean Drive in South Beach
For dog owners who don’t mind keeping their pets on a leash, Lummus Park is a nice alternative. This park has a terrific vibe because it is constantly completely crowded with people. Additionally, there are many restaurants, shops, and cafes nearby. There is also an outdoor gym where you can tie up your dog while you work out. Lummus Park, which is on Ocean Drive, has a lot of palm-lined grassy areas for you and your dog to explore (not to mention its incredible IGworthiness).
South Pointe Park
1 Washington Avenue in South Beach
You can visit South Pointe Park, which offers a lot of activities for people and their pets if you travel all the way down to the end of South Beach. Dogs are permitted in the park’s playgrounds, biking trails, and dedicated dog runs both on and off-leash. This one is wonderful if you want to do some exploring and take lots of pictures because the common areas have amazing views and architecture!
